Studio Prisma
Arthur Vermorel
Arthur Vermorel (born in 1991) is a filmmaker and visual designer based in Copenhagen. After completing a master’s degree in Cinema Studies at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, specialising in film theory, he directed his first experimental films, exploring motifs such as clouds and waves through a highly visual approach. His short film Prisma, an essay on clouds, was selected for the Nice Short Film Festival and the Nancy Film Festival in 2018.
He later specialised in film production through the DU CREATTAC programme in Corte, Corsica. Following this experience, he wrote and directed his first narrative short film, Seabird, supported by le GREC and selected for the IndieLisboa International Film Festival in 2020.
He continued his exploration of Corsica with Pietranera, co-written and co-directed with his cousin and long-time collaborator Victor Lauzely. The film was selected for INEFF in Manchester and the Auch Short Film Festival in 2023.
That same year, he moved to Copenhagen and founded Studio Prisma, an independent creative studio working across film and visual design. Alongside directing and producing films, he is currently developing a graphic design practice focused on visual identities, editorial design, and printed matter.
His latest short film, Skarpe tænder, written by Swedish author Emeli Bergman and supported by Filmværksted Kbh, was completed in Denmark in 2026.
